Transparent solvent-based adhesion promoter for various substrates. Sika® Aktivator-100 is a solvent-based colorless adhesion promoter, which reacts with moisture and deposits active groups on the substrate. These groups act as a link between substrates and primers or sealants/adhesives. Sika® Aktivator-100 is specifically formulated for the treatment of bond faces prior to the application of Sika’s elastic adhesives and sealants.

Usage:

Sika® Aktivator-100 is used to improve adhesion on substrates such as float glass, ceramic screenprints, the cut face of old Polyurethane adhesives and paints. After intensive testing, this activator is also suitable to enhance the adhesion of other Sika sealants and adhesives on non-porous substrates. Seek manufacturer’s advice and perform tests on original substrates before using Sika® Aktivator-100 on materials prone to stress cracking. This product is suitable for experienced professional users only. Tests with actual substrates and conditions have to be performed to ensure adhesion and material compatibility.
